Trying To Finish Up the New Grave Danger Record
October is closing in fast and I'm starting to get serious about this new Grave Danger record. We already have cover art and have talked to our promo agency. We need to wrap up a few horn parts and do the vocals and then we're ready to send it off to Waysound for mixing and mastering! It felt like we had so much time to finish these songs, but now our (self imposed) deadline is coming up fast!
Coaching
This Sping I signed up to coach a few sports for my kids. Now that my 9 year old is in 4th grade, he can join cross country. I've been pretty excited about coaching XC since I found out it was a thing at his school. I'm the only XC for the team, which is a little chaotic, but it's been really fun so far. I'm also coaching my 5 year old's soccer team. This is the first year he's played and it's super fun to watch him (and a bunch of other little kids) run around and figure out what playing a sport means.
Building a Server Rack
I made the mistake of watching this video and took it as advice rather than a warning. I started poking around on /r/minilab and asking ChatGPT a bunch of questions about homelabs/minilabs and the next thing I knew I had ordered a 10" rack and a LENOVO ThinkCentre (to go along with the Beelink I'm running Plex on). I have plans that involve Proxmox. I'm pricing HDDs for a NAS. This is a dangerous rabbit hole.
